These terms cover the hosted Speakeasy product. The open-source edition remains governed by its repository license.

The service

Speakeasy provides hold-to-talk transcription, optional cleanup, and paste at the original cursor. AI output can be inaccurate; review important text before relying on or sending it.

Plans, charges, and taxes

Hosted plans renew monthly until canceled. Prices are in USD plus applicable taxes. Stripe shows the final currency, tax, total, and any proration before payment. Speakeasy adds no processing, service, platform, or card surcharge.

Cancellation and plan changes

You can cancel through the billing portal. Cancellation and Pro-to-Standard downgrades take effect at renewal. A Standard-to-Pro upgrade is immediate with the disclosed proration. Signing out or withdrawing hosted processing consent does not cancel billing.

Refund Promise

One full refund per account is available when requested within 14 calendar days of a subscription charge and is returned to the original payment method. Billing corrections and rights provided by applicable law are separate. Account deletion is not itself a refund request.

Account deletion

Account deletion is permanent, ends the subscription, revokes sessions, and cannot be undone or reactivated. Limited payment and tax records remain as described in the Privacy notice.

Availability and acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with it, or use it unlawfully. The service may change or be interrupted during development. Support has no response-time promise.
